Terms of Service
The rules for using I'm Sorry I Lied: the service, credits, your photos and generated videos, acceptable use, governing law and liability limits.
Agreement
By using I'm Sorry I Lied (the "service") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of I'm Sorry I Lied ("we", "us").
The service
The service turns a photo you upload into an AI-generated dream version of a Halloween costume and a ready-to-post 3-slide 9:16 video (dream, confession, truth), plus the AI photo and the individual slides to download, guided by your selected template or custom instructions. The video is silent so you can add the trend's sound yourself. It also publishes guides about the format. It is an independent tool, not affiliated with or endorsed by TikTok, CapCut or any creator of the trend.
Accounts and credits
You need an account to generate videos. Each generated video costs one credit, and credits are bought in one-time packs. Nothing renews automatically and there is no subscription. Credits do not expire. A failed generation returns its credit automatically. Refunds are covered by the Refund Policy. Keep your credentials safe and give accurate information.
Your photos and who may use the tool
The tool is for adults. You confirm that you are 18 or older and that you have the right to use the photo. You may upload a photo of yourself, including a childhood photo of yourself, or a photo of your own child if you are their parent or legal guardian. Do not upload photos of other people's children, celebrities or public figures, or of other people without their permission, and do not upload screenshots, stills or artwork you do not have rights to. Do not use the tool to generate sexual, abusive or exploitative content involving minors.
Generated videos
You may use the videos you generate for personal use. Label published videos as AI-generated. Do not ask the tool to reproduce a real person's likeness without permission, and do not use it to impersonate or harass anyone. The requested costume is generated from your photo, and nothing in the service grants you rights in any third-party character, brand or sound. Do not present the videos as official content of, or as endorsed by, TikTok, CapCut or any creator of the trend. Results vary, and we cannot promise that a video will look exactly as you expect or be ready within a set time.
We may refuse a request or remove content that breaks these terms. You can delete your videos at any time in My videos.
Acceptable use
You agree not to attempt to disrupt or overload the service, probe it for vulnerabilities, resell access, generate unlawful, hateful or sexual content, or use the tool to impersonate or harass another person.
Our content
The text, structure and original illustrations on the site belong to us or our licensors. You may share a link or quote a short excerpt with attribution. Do not republish whole guides.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR, and the courts of Hong Kong SAR have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, subject to any mandatory consumer rights where you live.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept it. Questions go to support@imsorryilied.net.
